Bulgarian Cluster Telecommunications (BCT) is among the first ICT clusters in Bulgaria. It’s founded in 2008 under the project, funded by PHARE Programme and the Ministry of Economy and Energy, and registered as legal NGO since 2010. Seventeen Bulgarian companies from the ICT sector and Technical University – Sofia are partners in the cluster. The cluster is certified with Bronze Label for cluster management by ESCA.
Bulgarian Cluster Telecommunications is member of Balkan and Black Sea ICT Clusters Network, Smart City Forum for the Central and Eastern European (CEE) Countries and Association of Business Clusters.
Our mission is to improve the competitiveness of Bulgarian SMEs working in the field of ICT & telecommunications through implementation of best practices in management processes and improvement of the marketing strategies of the member companies.
Our main goals are:
-to support development of clusters;
-to support R&D and innovations of the BCT members;
-to raise the competitiveness of the products and services offered by BCT members;
-to create a platform for information exchange, common projects creation etc.;
-to create public interest and positive attitude towards sector Telecommunications;
-to achieve higher degree of internationalization and penetration in new markets.
BCT is searching for opportunities to cooperate with other organizations in following areas:
-Activities supporting cluster management excellence and cluster development;
-Supporting competitiveness and internationalization of ICT SMEs;
-Development of ICT infrastructure and access of the services in the region;
-R&D activities and cooperation with academia/ research organizations/ R&D centers in ICT;
-New business opportunities for the BCT members.
