TINSA

TINSA Ltd. has been founded in 2010 with main scope of activity:

– Verification for the interoperability of the rail system within the Community;

– Verification for the compatibility with the national notified technical rules and the national safety rules.

TINSA Ltd. is a Notified Body NB 2387 as per Directive 2008/57/ЕC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 June 2008 on the interoperability of the rail system within the Community.

TINSA Ltd. is also a Designated Body per Railway Transport Law and Ordinance № 57, issued by the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications of Republic of Bulgaria of 09.06.2004.

The scope of the Notified Body is to perform an EC assessment and verification of the following subsystems:

  • Trackside control-command and signaling;
  • On-board control-command and signaling;
  • Energy;
  • Infrastructure,

and for aspects:

  • Safety of Railway Tunnels
  • Accessibility of the Union’s railsystem for persons with disabilities and persons with reduced mobility

The scope of the Designated Body is to perform a conformity assessment with the requirements of the national notified technical rules and the National Safety Rules of the rail subsystems:

  • Trackside control-command and signaling;
  • On-board control-command and signaling;
  • Energy;
  • Infrastructure;
  • Rolling Stock – Locomotives and Self-Propelled Rail Vehicles, for track gauge 1435 mm.

As Notified Body TINSA Ltd. possesses the competences to perform an Independent assessment in accordance with Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No. 352/2009 of the Commission of 24 April 2009 and Article 6 of Commission implementing Regulation (EU) No 402/2013 of 30 April 2013 on the common safety method for risk evaluation and assessment.

TINSA Ltd. possesses own track measuring car PLASSER & THEURER ЕМ – 120 for measuring of the geometry parameters of the railway track in a loaded state at maximum speed of measuring of 120 km/h. The measurements are performed by a team of experts with the necessary qualification and experience.
